Like'n The Bike'n

Some more pictures of the animals in the zoo. When I was taking these pictures I would take like 6-7 pictures of each animal because I wanted a good one, but now its hard to choose which ones to post, but here are more. Love to visit and spend time with Erika and my grandson Cohen, and I like the challenge of getting Cohen to look at the camera which maybe 1 out of every 20 I take of him. He likes going to the zoo and when he comes in July we will probably go to the Portland Zoo like we do every time they come.  Cohen will ride a merry-go-around over and over again and this time he liked this blue bug. I think Erika got a better picture of the bears when I go there they went behind the rocks. Cohen likes people and has no problem making friends    I think these will be the last of the zoo pictures for this trip to New York.

Pictures of the Bronx zoo I have been to many zoos over the years some good and some just so-so and I thing our own Oregon Zoo is one of the good ones but I liked the Bronx's Zoo its one of the best and I didn't have time to see it all but I will go back some day. I had so many pictures and I don't think I can put them all here but here are a few. Check out these two chimps  They have the biggest collection of Gorillas I have ever seen. I really like this tiger he was just setting like he was posing for us .

I could spend a day in Central park taking pictures so this is just a few. One thing nice about Erika and Jeff moving back into Manhattan is that Central park is like in there back yard, I remember when Erika first moved there she would give me a key and I would just go over to the park everyday. I realy liked the zoo, it was small but must of the animals were close and I liked the buildings and landscaping was cool. Its pretty cool to see these tile on the ceiling of one of the tunnels.   Cohen loved climbing on the big rocks in the park he said he was climbing a mountain I think he would be happy with a park of just rocks. Its so green in this park These monkeys  were on this island and Erika hadn't  seen them in the past but they were on the back side of the island. I had like three picture of this cat but I like this one the best.

Taking time out to go see Erika and Cohen We decided that when Netty was in Canada with some friends it would be a good time for me to go off to New Your and spend some time with Erika and Cohen, but when we looked into tickets they were cheaper two weeks before her trip so now I am back before she goes. I had a good time, we went to the Central Park Zoo, Bronx Zoo, Baseball game, and a Broadway show. I have a lot of pictures of Cohen but like Erika has told me its hard to get one of him looking at the camera so I will just put some in here. I would like to say this is my favorite bridge in Central park but there are so meany it would be hard to say but this is a nice one.   Central Park is one of my favorite places in New York City and I have like 350 pictures from this trip  so I will add more later.

I went down with our trailer to do some clamming this last week, and one day I made a bike trip up to the North Head Lighthouse but when I got there they were working on the light house.  I think the old staff house up at the light house are cool. Every time we go out on the beach we see this Eagle, I think he has a nest close to here, we did se him here the last two times we were here.
